  • have some wonderful friends. it's been wonderful to be able to speak to them and know that they are accessible. i'm not quite ready to venture into the world for more then about an hour at a time, but it's nice to have the option.

    i'm done. my india adventure has come to an end. that concept hasn't exactly sunk in yet. i tried to shop in H&M today but i kept translating prices into rupees. i couldn't buy anything as a result. i also saw a women in a salwar kameeze and i blatantly stared at her. i must have come across as an insensitive idiot and i thought about shouting, "i've been to india!" but i think it might have come across as rude or awkward.

    alli graduates tomorrow. she's so grown up.

  • i have arrived in jolly old london.  i'm staying at aparna's house for a few days while i semi recover from my time in india.  it's really cold here.  like i'm wearing a sweatshirt and sleeping under heavy blankets, it's that cold.  this is a bit of a shock for my system.  yesterday i fell asleep at 5:30pm and woke up at 6am.  jet lag is alive and well.

  • I'M SO CLOSE TO LEAVING THIS COUNTRY I CAN'T EVEN STAND IT!!!!  seriously, i'm ready to scream because my departure cannot come quickly enough.  i leave super early this morning for england and then on june 3rd i will be metaphorically kissing american soil and running happily to my family.  possibly knocking them all over because i have an obscene amount of luggage.  i can't wait to go home.  i can't wait to go to applebees with the gang from church.  (aka watching drew make awkward comments, laura laughing allll the time, daniel quoting wikipedia during lulls in conversation, linz calling me fartsy, and adam being about 3 hours late)  i want to hang out at beth's house with my dtwon crew.  i want to see my girls from messiah!  i want my family!  love to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
